Τα φώτα στο Kodak Theater του Λος Άντζελες έσβησαν, καθώς ολοκληρώθηκε τις πρώτες πρωινές ώρες (για την Ελλάδα) η 83η τελετή απονομής των Όσκαρ.
H Anne Hathaway και ο James Franco ήταν οι παρουσιαστές της βραδιάς, που κύλησε χωρίς μεγάλες εκπλήξεις. Μάλλον βαρετή θα τη χαρακτηρίζαμε, με ελάχιστες στιγμές γέλιου και αρκετές στιγμές “νύστας” – τουλάχιστον για εμάς που την παρακολουθούσαμε τις άγριες μεταμεσονύχτιες ώρες.
– Όσκαρ καλύτερης ταινίας για το “The King’s Speech”, που ιδιαίτερα το τελευταίο διάστημα θεωρούνταν από πολλούς το μεγάλο φαβορί της κατηγορίας.
– Όσκαρ Α’ Γυναικείου Ρόλου σε ένα ακόμη αδιαφιλονίκητο φαβορί, στην… έγκυο Natalie Portman για την ερμηνεία της στο “Black Swan”.
– Όσκαρ Α’ Ανδρικού Ρόλου στο επίσης μεγάλο φαβορί Colin Firth για την ερμηνεία του στο “The King’s Speech”.
– To “The King’s Speech” έφυγε από το Kodak Theater με συνολικά τέσσερα βραβεία (Καλύτερης ταινίας, Α’ ανδρικού ρόλου για τον Colin Firth, Πρωτότυπου σεναρίου & Σκηνοθεσίας), κερδίζοντας τις εντυπώσεις της βραδιάς.
